Daishawn Redan joins Chelsea
Manchester United aren’t the only Premier League club signing up youngsters in the summer transfer window.
On Tuesday news has leaked out of Chelseathat they’ve completed the signing of Daishawn Redan from Ajax.
Redan has been on the radar of several EPL clubs in recent times, as Man United and Man City have also been tracking the 16-year-old forward.
The deal has been confirmed via social media, as Daishawn Redan has been pictured at Stamford Bridge with his new number 9 Chelsea shirt.
Who is he?
Having arrived at Ajax at the tender age of 8, Redan did not take long to acclimatise himself with his new surroundings, netting 44 goals in his debut campaign with the club, a feat which he went on to repeat four years later.
The lethal striker, who can also play on the left, has proven that he is no flash in the pan, however, having continued his sensational exploits for Ajax’s U17s this past season, despite playing two years above his age group.
Redan has also notched 21 goals in just 29 appearances at youth level for the Netherlands.
